With Thronefall we tried to strip a classic strategy game from all unnecessary complexity, combining it with a healthy amount of hack and slay. Build up your base during the day, defend it til your last breath at night.

Will you be able to strike the right balance between economy and defense? Do you need more archers, thicker walls or an additional mill? Will you keep the enemies at bay with your longbow or charge your horse right into them? It's going to be a tough night, but nothing beats seeing the sun rise above your little kingdom to live another day.

Ratings and reviews

I enjoy alot about this game. The animation and designs are fun and simple in the best ways possible. The enemies are a little plain and it does get hard (for me at least) to see everything at night. Your gonna want to see though, because the castle upgrades blends beautifully to the surroundings. It is a nice casual strategy game to kill time.

I think the main game was good but very short and not worth $13. The endless mode is a joke and completely random, the units are totally insane sometimes even at the early lvls. I really wanted to like the game but it was over way too fast, I think maybe I spent a few hours to beat it. After that I tried to have fun but the way its designed is trash. You should be able to pick your weapon and perks instead of going with the rng style. Theres no strategy at all when its randomly chosen for you.

Its rare that you see a game actually be exactly what it wants to be. I love the gameplay loop and honestly the only thing I could ask for is more. Not in a way that means there isn't enough but rather I love what's there and would be so happy to see it continue to grow. also, I'd love to see some small customization like changing the color of your king/queen and horse
