About this game

"Kingdom Two Crowns is a side-scrolling micro strategy game with a minimalist feel wrapped in a beautiful, modern pixel art aesthetic. Play the role of a monarch atop their steed and recruit loyal subjects, build your kingdom and protect it from the greedy creatures looking to steal your coins and crown.

In the brand-new campaign mode, monarchs must now work to build a kingdom that stands over time until finding a way to defeat the Greed for good. Explore the environments to discover new mounts and secrets hidden across the vast land.

But you don’t have to rule alone! Introducing cooperative play to Kingdom Two Crowns, monarchs can now choose between a solo experience or seek the assistance of a friend, working together locally in classic split screen while sitting next to your fellow monarch, or even across from them on opposite sides of the device in the custom mobile feature of tabletop coop.

In addition to the traditional medieval setting, Kingdom Two Crowns also includes:

• Dead Lands: Enter the dark lands of Kingdom. Building your Kingdom has never been spookier!

• Shogun: Journey to lands inspired by the architecture and culture of feudal Japan.

Additional DLC available via in-app purchase:
• Norse Lands: Command mighty units, solve challenging puzzles and unleash abilities drawn upon from Norse Gods in this Viking-themed expansion.

A challenge awaits all who seek it here, whether you are a first or long-time ruler. So be brave, great monarchs, for in the end Two Crowns shall reign stronger than one!"

I have tried, in vain, for the last year, almost every day, to find another game like Kingdom/New Lands/Two Crowns, and the futility of it and my failure has caused me to spiral down into a pit of depression and despair. I have put hundreds of hours into Kingdom on Steam and mobile, and I have to say I can't get enough of it. The gorgeous pixel graphics, the amazing music, the deceptive simplicity of the gameplay and the panic when everything starts falling apart are absolutely top notch.

Great Game but could be better. Reason being there is a lot of things that could be fixed. For example the zoom I would really like to zoom out. Next the fact that two people can play together is amazing! My sister absolutely loves the Griffin. But the split screen is weird. They both are right side up. One of them should be upside down for better and easier game play. Also this might be my device or something but whenever I walk past a decent amount of archers or just people my frames drop FAST

Tested on a Razer Phone 2. No problems so far. Touch controls are weird, but doable. Some of the instructions for investing money is confusing. To drop coins is a tap, to invest in buildings, equipment, etc. you drag down. Not sure how this would affect my efficiency but it's an alright system. Aside from that, everything looks like regular Kingdom Two Crowns...which of course is amazing for those who enjoy managing towns and defending against monsters. Best check out the wiki if you get lost.

What's new

Dear monarchs! Here’s what’s new in patch 1.1.18:

Lost Islands - A new challenge island is now available! Face a new, randomly generated challenge every day. But be swift, for each island will eventually be lost in time. Once you embark on an island, you'll have 72 hours to complete it.

Norse Lands setting is now available in all existing challenge islands.

Various improvements, balancing and bug fixes.
