Turn paper documents and saved images into clear, shareable files with PDF Scanner by Hostragons.
Scan with the camera or import from your gallery. Review pages, correct document edges, rotate and enhance the result, then export as PDF, image, text or Word-compatible document. Text recognition runs on the device, so ordinary document processing does not require an account or a personal API key.

On Android TV and Google TV, the app also supports remote-friendly image/PDF import, on-device
OCR, history and local export. Camera and QR/barcode actions are shown only on devices that
provide a camera; a camera-less TV is not presented as a camera scanner. ChromeOS Flex is not
supported because it does not provide the Android/Google Play runtime.
The complete scanning and export feature set is available for free. The free tier is supported by carefully limited Google AdMob ads: unobtrusive banners on suitable browsing screens and a preloaded full-screen ad opportunity before a manually started document scan. Full-screen ads are limited to three successful displays in any rolling 24 hours, with at least ten minutes between them. An unavailable ad never blocks scanning, and ads never cover permission prompts, the camera, processing, loading or error screens.
Optional Hostragons Pro removes every ad. It renews annually through Google Play until canceled; the exact localized price, renewal terms, and management controls are shown by Google Play before purchase. No scan, OCR tool or export format is locked behind Pro.
Your scans and recognized document text are processed locally. If you choose barcode lookup, the barcode value is sent to one or more applicable public catalogues, which may be queried concurrently, so a result can be returned. If you choose an optional OCR language or table-model pack, the app downloads that pack from Hugging Face's PaddlePaddle repositories; neither feature uploads your document images or recognized text.
