About this app

Free IPTV by Hostragons is a modern media player for sources you are authorized to use. It does not provide, sell, host or recommend channels, movies, series, playlists, subscriptions or any other content catalogue. You bring your own source.

PRIVATE SETUP FROM ANY SCREEN
Scan the QR code shown on your TV and enter your M3U or Xtream details from a phone or browser. A manual one-time code is available too. The setup payload is end-to-end encrypted, can be used only once and expires after ten minutes. Preview the source on the TV before accepting it.

YOUR COMPLETE LIBRARY
• Open M3U and M3U8 playlists from a URL or local file
• Import supported PLS, XSPF and JSON playlists
• Connect to your own Xtream-compatible provider
• Browse live channels, categories, favorites and recent channels
• Explore movies, series, seasons and episodes offered by compatible providers
• Replay completed programmes when your provider supplies catch-up data
• Add an XMLTV guide for now/next information and programme search

POWERFUL PLAYBACK
Play compatible HLS, DASH and Smooth Streaming sources with the native ExoPlayer engine or VLC fallback. Choose available quality, audio and subtitle tracks, adjust aspect ratio, and use picture-in-picture or optional background audio. Custom headers and supported DRM settings are available only for sources you are entitled to access.

BUILT FOR PHONE AND TV
The responsive dark interface works on Android phones, tablets and Android TV. Touch, remote and D-pad navigation make large libraries easy to browse.

PRIVACY AND CONTROL
Playlist URLs, provider credentials, channel data and playback settings are encrypted locally with an Android Keystore-backed key. Provider and catalogue requests go directly to the provider you choose. No playlist, stream or viewing history is sent to Hostragons or attached to advertising requests. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled.

FAIR, OPTIONAL PRO
The free player uses consent-aware advertising only on content-bearing Channels and Favorites screens. Ads never cover the video player and are suppressed during playback, picture-in-picture and background audio. Optional annual Hostragons Pro removes all ads. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled in Google Play; price and availability are shown by Google Play. The core player needs no account. Google sign-in is used only when you choose Pro purchase, restore or account controls.

Playback quality, guide accuracy, catalogue availability and catch-up support depend on your provider, device, network and source format. Use only sources and media you are legally entitled to access.
