TV Remote by Hostragons helps you control your own compatible Android TV or Google TV on the same local Wi-Fi network. Discover a TV, complete the pairing prompt shown on that TV, then use familiar remote controls from your phone or tablet.
Control compatible TVs you own or are authorized to use
• Find compatible Android TV, Google TV, and supported Cast devices on your local network
• Pair with the code shown on the selected TV
• Use a D-pad, select, back, home, menu, media, and supported power controls
• Switch to a touchpad or number pad when supported
• Enter text from your phone keyboard into compatible TV fields
• Use optional push-to-talk voice input with compatible TVs
• Adjust volume and mute on supported devices
• Use a customizable quick-app strip
• Cast supported local media to compatible devices
Private by design
TV discovery, pairing, and remote commands are limited to devices reachable on your local network. Pairing and remote messaging use encrypted connections. If you use optional push-to-talk, microphone audio is streamed in real time only to the TV you selected for its voice feature. This app is not a way to control TVs over the internet or TVs that you do not own or have permission to use.
Feature availability varies by TV model, Android/Google TV version, connected service, and local network configuration. Both devices must be connected to the same local Wi-Fi network.
The complete remote-control feature set remains available for free. On phones and tablets, the free tier is supported by carefully limited Google AdMob ads. A banner can appear only on a content-bearing Cast browsing screen when no cast is active. A preloaded full-screen ad may appear only after you disconnect from a TV or stop and leave a cast session. Full-screen ads are limited to three successful displays in any rolling 24 hours, with at least fifteen minutes between them. An unavailable ad never delays an action, and ads never interrupt discovery, pairing, connection, remote-control commands, or active casting.
Optional Hostragons Pro removes every ad. It is an annually renewing Google Play subscription; the exact localized price, renewal terms, and management controls are shown by Google Play before purchase. No remote-control feature is locked behind Pro.
