Dotori Morse reads Morse code from your microphone, screen taps or dot-and-dash text. Choose International Morse, Korean Morse or Japanese Wabun in Settings. The code alphabet and the app's display language are separate settings.
Three ways to enter a signal:
- Sound: listen to a steady Morse tone through the microphone, or open an uncompressed PCM WAV file. Automatic tone detection covers 300–1500 Hz. Manual tone and speed controls are also available.
- Taps: hold and release the screen key to enter dots and dashes. Use the letter and word buttons to separate the message.
- Text: paste dots and dashes, enter them with helper buttons, or convert supported characters into Morse.
Keep the original signal:
- Change the code alphabet and decode the same input again.
- See the original dots and dashes, Korean jamo and ambiguous interpretations.
- Edit the decoded sentence while keeping the original input separate.
- Save up to 30 recent messages on your device, copy a result or play its Morse tones.
English and Korean menus, light and dark themes, a code chart and an in-app guide are included. Decoding works on your device without an account. A top banner may show ads; input and decoded messages are not passed to the advertising SDK.
Microphone audio is processed only while the app is in the foreground, for up to 120 seconds per session. Raw microphone audio is not saved to a recording or uploaded. WAV input supports mono or stereo PCM 8/16/24/32-bit and float 32-bit, 8–96 kHz, up to 120 seconds and 48 MB. MP3, compressed WAV and video are not supported.
Please note:
- Sound input is for steady Morse tones, not speech or arbitrary tapping noises. Results depend on tone level, speed and background noise.
- Korean Morse may leave syllable boundaries ambiguous. Japanese small kana are normalized, so their original size cannot be recovered.
- This is an independent utility, not an emergency service or a government app.
