This was great for about 24 hrs. Then the app stopped connecting. Just says to check my internet connection. The mobile remote control was still working but I couldn't access the settings or air quality data so I tried reinstalling. Now I can't even log in. Guess there's no checking data for me. The air purifier itself is working great so far. The one star is app review only
17/10/25: have 2 pure-hot-cool devices, changes to scheduled temperature setting are not saving/updating correctly, odd temperature saves as even temp, e.g 67 saves as 66. Bizarre. After changing temp, selecting done the schedule overview page still shows old temp. Please fix and put code on GitHub so we can help. 17/9/24: was crashing. Uninstalling and reinstalling resulted in app working. Dyson dev/team reached out for feedback/info to help fix, really appreciate that. Great product, please keep improving. Buying another pure heat cool soon...
App works great on my Note 8 with my Pure Hot+Cool Link, and the purifier clearly works very well. Used in a room for 3D printing to scrub the air of times, replace a noisy Wal-Mart fan, and for some heat in the winter. App works great and is responsive, just about as fast as the remote. When I start printing with materials like ABS which releases more unhealthy fumes, it shows the air quality going from good to "Very Poor" within minutes...after running on high in a 12x12 room for about 6 hours it's gradually works it's way back to "Good" air quality.
Too many bugs in the mobile app. Be prepared to spend several minutes debugging your phone and restarting the fan whenever you make changes. When the bugs didn't pop up, it worked well but there's a delay. So, don't expect to do things like stop oscillation at a specific angle.
I love my hot-cool link purifier. Is the best. But I had 2 flaws. Consumes too much electrical power (my bill went to the roof, 30% increase). And is missing google home compatibility. Fix that and I'll give you 5 stars.
Except for the 15 mins of frustation every night fiddling with the oscillation button trying to make the fan face me.. I love this app. Whoever thought of making the oscillation on/off button a submenu should get some bad design award
