Works pretty well, but better with a newer phone. I use a spare Samsung S9 phone. Sometimes a little trouble connecting. Takes a lot of power (which is understandable), phone gets hot when it's in use. And since I only use a spare phone I was able to installed an aluminum computer type heat sync on the back of the phone which helps.

Update: I paid for yearly subscription and it's just gone now. It is by far the best app in the market. No flicker, no buffering. Easy to use. Just use with usb debugging. Works instantly. For 10 bucks a year it's a no brainer. One thing I'd loved is if there was a contrast setting. And exposure lock. There's brightness Option but no exposure. Also for some reason I can't blur my camera. The blur option seems disabled, can you help ?

I found DroidCam first and had lag issues (about a half-second of video lag) that I couldn't resolve. Just by luck, I saw a random recommendation in a forum for iVCam, gave it a try, and now my phone works as a really good webcam! I really couldn't be more pleased, although I do have to shut off the autofocus because otherwise every time I move, the picture refocuses - but I can shut it off, so that's no problem! Great app!

iVCam has some features: https://www.e2esoft.com/ivcam-features-description/ Long press or single touch on the screen to switch between AE/AF lock and manual focus. And scrolling to adjust exposure time and ISO. These features can be adjusted in windows client during preview via the cam settings dialog.
