Earnings are the loudest hours in a stock's year. Earnings Move shows you how a stock has ACTUALLY behaved across its past earnings reports — and how that compares with what the options market is pricing in for the next one.
Not a calendar. An analyser.
WHAT YOU GET
• Historical win rate — how often this stock rose after reporting, always shown with the number of reports it is based on
• Average move, average upside, average downside, biggest move in each direction
• Expected Move vs Actual Move — what the market priced in, what actually happened, and how often this name breaks out of its expected range
• Earnings Risk Score (0–100) — how uncertain the move is, with the components that produced it
• Earnings timeline — every past report, tappable through to the full detail
THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE NUMBERS
• Performance at 1, 3, 5, 10 and 20 trading days after the report — average, median, up rate, down rate, biggest gain, biggest loss, standard deviation, max drawdown
• Gap analysis — gap up and gap down rates, how often the gap gets filled, and how long it takes
• Pre-earnings context — run-up over the last 1 to 20 sessions, distance from the 52-week high and low, moving-average deviation, RSI, volume change
• Benchmark comparison — the move against the index and the sector, so a market-wide rally is not mistaken for a reaction to the report
RESULTS VS REACTION
• EPS and revenue: estimate, actual, surprise, and Beat / Meet / Miss
• Correlation between surprise size and the size of the move
• "Good earnings, bad reaction" and "bad earnings, good reaction" — how often this stock does the opposite of what the numbers suggest
• A results-versus-reaction matrix, so you see the pattern rather than a single headline
OPTIONS
• Implied volatility, IV Rank, ATM IV, call and put IV
• Expected Move from the at-the-money straddle
• Put/call ratio by volume and by open interest
• 25-delta skew
BACKTEST
Five earnings-period strategies, from "buy the close before, sell the next open" through to holding 20 sessions — win rate, average and median return, cumulative return, profit factor, max drawdown, streaks, and the equity curve. Add your own conditions and re-run over only the reports that match.
FIND SOMETHING
• Global earnings calendar with your timezone and the exchange's session shown side by side
• Screener across past statistics, options data, fundamentals, price and market
• Rankings — high win rate, high volatility, frequently exceeds the expected move, high risk, stable
• Watchlist with the next report date, the countdown, and the headline numbers
• Earnings reminders you choose: a week ahead, three days, the day before, the day itself, and after the release
HONEST BY DESIGN
Every rate is shown with its sample size. A stock with two reports on record does not get to show you a 100% win rate. Where a figure cannot be derived from the data we have, the app says so instead of printing a zero. Data sources are named on screen.
Earnings Move is an analysis tool. It does not give investment advice, does not recommend buying or selling, and does not connect to a broker. Past results do not guarantee future results, and a backtest is a hypothetical calculation that ignores real trading costs, slippage and execution risk.
