Should you be buying, or should you be resting?
That is the question a swing trader answers before any other, and TradeWeather answers it on one screen. A single verdict - Clear, Fair, Cloudy, Rain or Storm - over the four readings that produced it. No watchlist to build, no indicators to configure. Every threshold is set for a 2 to 30 day hold: this is the environment check you run before taking a swing entry, not a day-trading scanner and not a retirement dashboard.
1. INDEX TREND, AND WHETHER IT IS REAL
QQQ and SPY tell you what the headline index did. QQQE and RSP - the same baskets held in equal size - tell you what the average stock did. TradeWeather shows all four against their 9-day and 21-day EMAs with a traffic light each: above both is green, below both is red, between them is the warning state.
Then it measures the gap. When the cap-weighted index is beating its equal-weighted twin by a wide margin, the index is being carried by a handful of megacaps and the market is narrower than the headline suggests. TradeWeather says so, with the spread.
2. THE 10-YEAR, TRANSLATED
Long rates move the valuation of everything with future cash flows. TradeWeather compares the 10-year Treasury yield against its 5-day mean and says what it means FOR EQUITIES, because a green light on a bond card is otherwise ambiguous. Falling, positive. Rising, stay alert.
3. WHAT THE SHORT END IS PRICING IN
The 2-year yield moves ahead of the Fed. TradeWeather fits its trend over the last month and reports the phase - cuts being priced in, tightening risk, or expectations on hold - with the basis-point move behind the call, so you can disagree with it.
4. MOMENTUM
RSI(14) and MACD(12,26,9) for SPY and QQQ, banded the way a swing trader reads them: overbought is a reason for caution, not to chase. Crosses are dated, so one from two months ago is never dressed up as today's news.
TAP ANY CARD FOR THE CHART
Every card opens a detail screen: price with both EMAs, the RSI panel with its 70/30 bands, the MACD panel with its histogram, and - for the index ETFs - both baskets rebased to 100, so the breadth story is a gap you can see rather than two percentages to subtract. One month to one year, on every chart.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS
Readings are computed from end-of-day closes. When a source is unreachable, TradeWeather lights the gauges it has and tells you how many are dark instead of quietly showing less. When the 2-year yield comes from a fallback instrument, the card names it.

TRADEWEATHER PRO
Pro removes every advertisement. It unlocks nothing else and never will: every gauge, chart and reading is free, because a dashboard that hides half the weather would be worse than no dashboard.
IMPORTANT
TradeWeather is an information and education tool. It is not investment advice, recommends no security, and cannot buy or sell anything. Its verdicts are arithmetic summaries of published indicators: they describe what has already happened and are not forecasts. Past readings do not guarantee future results, and you are solely responsible for any financial decision you make.
