About this app

CareLink is one shared record of what a family spends — in money and in hours — looking after a parent.

Two to five people keep the same ledger. Everyone sees the same numbers, on every phone.

WHY IT EXISTS

Care is paid for unevenly, and almost nobody writes it down. One sibling drives to appointments, another pays the facility, a third sends money from abroad. A year later nobody can reconstruct any of it, and the conversation that follows is the one every family dreads.

CareLink is the record that makes that conversation unnecessary.

MONEY AND HOURS, ON THE SAME PAGE

- Record an expense in three taps: amount, what it was for, done.
- Record time just as quickly — a tap for "4 hours today".
- Hours become an amount using an hourly rate YOUR FAMILY agrees on. CareLink never suggests a number, because a figure the app picked would be the app taking a side.
- Attach a photo of the receipt if you want one.

NOTHING CAN BE CHANGED AFTERWARDS

Entries are only ever added. A mistake is corrected by cancelling it, and the cancellation stays visible with the original.

This is the whole point. A shared financial record is worth keeping only if nobody can quietly edit it later — and here that is enforced by the database, not by a promise.

IT SHOWS, IT DOES NOT JUDGE

The home screen lists what each person has contributed, side by side, and stops there. Whether that is fair is your family's conclusion, not the app's.

If you want the comparison against an even share, there is a switch for it — off by default, and shared by the whole group.

BUILT FOR REAL FAMILIES

- WORKS OFFLINE. Record in a hospital corridor with no signal; it syncs when you are back.
- DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, DIFFERENT CURRENCIES. Enter in yours, read in yours. The exchange rate is frozen onto each entry, so agreeing something new later never rewrites the past.
- A MONTHLY BREAKDOWN by category and by person.
- NOTIFICATIONS when a family member records something — with amounts off the lock screen if you prefer.
- TRANSFERS ARE RECORDED, NOT DEMANDED. If money changes hands, you note that it did. CareLink never asks anyone to send any, and never touches a bank.

WHAT IT IS NOT

It is not a bill-splitting app. It does not decide who owes what, it has no debts, and it will not chase anybody. It is a ledger.

CareLink is free, and every part of the ledger is free. Pro removes the advertising, and it applies to the whole group — one member subscribing turns the ads off for everyone, on iPhone and Android alike.
