Very short notice of "good deals" If you don't immediately jump on the deals they email you about, they're gone. This has to be the most frustrating aspect of the app. No timeline is given for extra cash back, but my most recent experience was that I received an email and the deal had ended just 3 hours later. Missed out. Will likely start using other deal sites or apps a bit more as a result. Otherwise, this app CAN get you a lot of cash back if you use it correctly and often!

Thank you for calling this out. Stores update their Cash Back offers sometimes rather quickly. We work to notify Members as fast as we can. You can always turn on the notifications in the app to get more alerts, too! We'll work with our partnered stores to keep those deals going longer in the future.

I’ve used Rakuten since 2019, but this and last year have been terrible. Every time I try to buy using PayPal, I get sent back to the start or see errors like “no permission.” I’ve cleared cache, reinstalled, and even contacted support — nothing helped. It’s frustrating, even when cashback is good. Thinking of switching to a more reliable app.

Unable to add local stores and restaurants to app. Get apps something went wrong message. You can register only on the app for restaurants. This error prevents you from earning points when dining out in the restaurant. I loaded the app on more than one phone in hopes of fixing this without success. No help on their website or chat. Reddit has several threads with others having same issue. Starting to believe it is a scam to force you to do online only orders.

We are aware of an issue impacting certain Visa, Mastercard, and American Express branded cards from being able to be enabled for use in the In-Store and Dining programs.
