The Igbo Calendar Riddles Proverbs app is a freemium tool with the main purpose of helping users to determine the corresponding igbo market day (afọ, nkwọ, eke or orie) of any Gregorian Calendar date within reasonable time period (specifically between 1900 and 2100).

The four market days that make up "ofu izu" (one week) in Igbo traditional calendar system are very significant in Igbo communities especially when fixing traditional events and cultural ceremonies. Any Calendar that can assist to determine the Igbo Market Day of a future date becomes handy and an important planning tool.

To add fun to using this app, previous versions were developed to resemble the wall calendars we keep in our homes by displaying Igbo-themed beautiful photos.

To increase user engagement and interaction, updated versions of the app now include Igbo Proverbs, Igbo Riddles and Historical Igbo Events and Personalities of note. Most notably, Igbo Riddles come in form of a game where users are challenged to provide answers to Igbo riddles; thereby propagating the Igbo Language and Culture.

Ratings and reviews

This app is fantastic, very accurate, very simple and user friendly. The only thing I will like the developer to add is printing option or PDF option, that can enable a user to download it in pdf for printing quality. Even if it will warrant in app purchase, I don't mind. What I want to print is a full year calendar in a PDF Printable format. Thanks.

I like the app and even recommend it to people but the recent update now makes it impossible to open the app without data. That's a big let down. You guys should consider allowing offline access just like Google Calendar and other basic apps

Nice app but how can one upload his picture and it will be displayed on other people's screen. It's not ideal. The developer need to look inside it and if possible, give an option to delete added picture. I thought the picture was meant to display only on my phone not knowing that it went to the app server. Please show me how to remove or delete the picture. I don't want it on the server.
