About this app

PitNotebook keeps your vehicle’s service history organized in a familiar grease-stained logbook that lives right in your glovebox. The app opens to a concrete garage floor view where a worn metal oil drain pan holds your dashboard, complete with a hand-stamped total of all entries and a vintage odometer gauge with a faded orange needle. You can quickly add oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-ups, brake inspections, and filter replacements without creating any accounts or connecting to cloud services. Each service record appears as a torn spiral notebook page with jagged edges, blue ruled lines, and handwritten-style smudged notes that feel like real wrench notes. The bottom tab bar gives you four grounded garage tools to switch between sections: a small oil can for the Logbook, a combination wrench for the chronological list, a funnel for capturing new work, and a tire tread depth gauge for filtered tire views. In the Fluids tab you fill out a clipboard-style work order with the type of service, odometer reading, date, and a quick scribble note, then submit it to store the entry locally on your device. The Wrench tab stacks every entry newest-first, letting you tap any torn page to review details or make edits whenever your maintenance timeline needs updating. For tire-specific records, the Tread tab displays searchable depth gauge cards with shaded wear bars so you always know when your last rotation was done. Everything stays saved in your phone’s local storage, giving you complete control over your service log without relying on an internet connection. The analog design avoids digital readouts entirely, using stamped metal numbers in the drain pan and a scratched gauge lens to show your current odometer value. Distinct hand-drawn margin symbols like a tiny oil drop or a cross-hatched tire circle instantly identify each entry type without any colored badges. PitNotebook is built for the DIY owner, the first-time driver, and anyone who wants a straightforward offline log that feels like pulling a paper notebook out of a shop drawer.
