Guardian by Elexa is a standalone leak and flood detection/prevention system that installs with no tools or plumber. Guardian currently consists of two pieces of hardware–the Valve Controller and the Leak Detector.

The Valve Controller installs on top of your existing water main valve and can be used with any quarter-turn ball valve with a pipe diameter of ½” to 1-¼”. Each Leak Detector is battery powered and communicates wirelessly with the Valve Controller on a local 915 MHz RF network with a maximum range of 1000 ft. They can be placed near plumbing fixtures and appliances to monitor for water leaks.

The moment water is detected by any of your devices, the Valve Controller will shut off your water main and you are notified immediately!

Their support is aware of a defect with water detector attached to valve controller - won't detect water. Major problem when water leaks can't be detected. Ticket open over 2 months they said they tried fixing, didn't resolve, now they won't respond. Very poor support.

Seems every time a firmware update is pushed my devices stop working for over a month. I have now opened up several cases with support with no resolution just as always they are sending it to their engineers and they close the ticket.

Horrible. I cannot add a location which is the first step in the setup of the app. Totally useless and tech support has stopped replying to my email. Do not buy this device.
