I've been around long enough to have implemented all of the top AV and overall security products. I always find my way back to ESET. This is serious security software that just works. If you're just starting as a computer security user, the ESET suite is simple to use while offering a robust protected computing environment. These guys have really created a Class A product that is easy for newbies yet rich with brilliant security capabilities and a deep bench of configuration options! Love it!

I didn't pay for the annual subscription, just use the free version. It's a decent Antivirus App overall but it has one annoying flaw. It will require frequent module update roughly 2-3 every other day. If you paid for it, this feature would become automatic. Since I used the free version it kept notifying me over these tedious updates. It was too much. Consider premium if you're interested.

Hello. Automatic update of the virus signature database is a premium feature. If you forget to update the database manually, our application will notify you. Don't forget that you can change your app rating at any time! Thank you!

The free version used to be great. However, as a result of the last product update (less than five weeks ago) the product no longer allows one to perform a manual scan. Therefore, there is no longer a desire to eventually find the time purchase it. The paid version worked great on another phone two years ago. Edit: uninstall, shutdown and remove battery. After two minutes, install again and then restart. The app is now functional within parameters that are worthy of a paid app.
