Ratings and reviews

Our company just migrated our enterprise portal from an on-prem installation to AWS, and renewed our SSL certificate. Field Maps is now saying it's an untrusted certificate and not allowing users to connect on Android devices, but it works in iOS. This is a pretty major obstruction to our field data collection. When it works, the app is good. When there's a problem, it's unusable, not just annoying.

App crashes frequently causing data loss when collecting features. No autobackup as you go. Can ONLY sync via wifi or cell data, there really should be an option to sync via USB port on PC connected to hardwire ethernet. The user interface and the way the app interfaces with ArcGIS online is also clunky and not intuitive. It's a very fussy and frustrating workflow. Finally, the ESRI support is nonexistent even with corporate account. We have to train our own people in house to provide support.

I like this much better than collector. 99% of the time any issues with offline downloads are in the design of the data. There is a learning curve and sometimes it seems it should work when it doesn't. Going through basic troubleshooting solves my issues most times, and if not I republish and that tends to fix it. I understand people get frustrated but proper planning and testing is always required to ensure deployment is successful
