About this app

EV Connect is the home of the most innovative, robust and feature-rich cloud-based software platform for managing electric vehicle charging stations, their interaction with utilities and the driver experience.

The EV Connect App uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.

Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.

With the EV Connect electric vehicle charging app, you can also:

• Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time
• Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging
• Make secure payments
• Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations
• Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions
• View a history of past charging sessions
• Report drivers that abuse charging station use

It's a little *clunky* starting the charging process, but that might be more an issue with me. I charge at home 99% of the time, so it takes awhile to get used to how every charging app works. The app didn't approve my credit card that I had saved to it, so I need to figure out what I did wrong there. (I use it with other apps, that's why I think it's "Operator Error.")

apart from having to set up an app, before you can do anything you have to enter a credit card. when it tries to charge the card, it asks for the card info or Google pay. the first machine failed 3 times. the app said it was charging, the car locked and unlocked the charging connector 3 times and finally the screen said failed. the second machine failed the first time and finally started charging.... we'll see if I get charged for the first 4 times. why can't I just pay with a card?

Only used it once but it worked just fine. Unfortunately they put a 25 dollar charge on your card when you first use it and there is no indication that you will get that money back. My charging session only charged me 9 dollars but 25 was taken out of my credit card. I'm assuming that the next time I stop by a charger it will use the rest of the money that they took but I can't fine anywhere on the app that says that to thats frustrating.
