Whenever I try to open the door to my apartment it either takes forever to load or it just doesn't work. On top of that the digital pad also doesn't function all that well either so I can't input the code that easily. Why not have a backup key? That's always been the safest way to keep a home secure. Someone could hack into my phone and all of a sudden have the keys to my house. This is a terrible decision for a "key" and apartment complexes shouldn't choose this as their choice of door.

My problem with SmartRent is not the app, it's the hub. I noticed the hub disconnecting and reconnecting from wifi constantly lately, it used to be ok. If you try to do something when it's not connected to WiFi it never goes through even though it should fall back to cellular. it just spins and says taking longer than expected then fails. This is a new problem. Didn't think you could make the experience worse but you've managed to.

When the app is running, it's very useful. I've had problems in the past where the app wouldn't sync to my smart items, luckily I was able to talk to someone who walked me through the steps to sync and thevpersin was patient (this is why 3 stars was given). I am now having to find myself restarting my phone every other day in order to use the app. This is frustrating and time consuming.
