About this app

MailWasher Mobile helps stop spam and other unwanted email. MailWasher enables you to preview all your email and delete it before it reaches your email program. Comprehensive anti spam filters are used, along with white lists and blacklists.

MailWasher previews your email at the server, so you can view, mark for delete, add to blacklist or friends list. Then press the 'Wash' button to remove the unwanted emails.

MailWasher works fast and is quick and easy to use.

Common swiping actions are used:
- Pull down to refresh/check for new messages
- Swipe an email across to add to or remove from friends list/blacklist
- Click on an email to preview it fully.

MailWasher previews your email in plain text for security.

POP3 and IMAP email accounts are supported.The Account Setup Wizard helps with the setup, or you can download the Desktop version of MailWasher Pro and sync your accounts and blacklist/friendslist entries.

I finally gave up on this app because I kept getting constant error messages. An error would pop up that had something to do with a possible, incorrect password, even though I double and triple checked it. Then another error message came up telling me that my configuration settings were incorrect for Gmail. No matter what I tried inputting, nothing seemed to work, so I'll be uninstalling this app, ASAP.

I really like this app. I bought it because it lets me preview email before it leaves the server and "bounce" any I don't want on my PC. For example, I got an X-rated adult email and made the mistake of clicking on a link. Now I get a boatload of raunchy emails that I am embarrassed to have show up in my inbox. I typically "bounce" them so the sender thinks my email is bad. Hopefully, with enough bounces, they will drop my email and leave me alone. However, lately, I get a server error msg.

13-07-2021. As I have the desktop version, which is excellent, I find the mobile version somewhat underdone, hence the ***. Update 22-12-2024. It has been more than three years since I last tried the mobile version of Mailwasher. It does not work which is disappointing. I have recently reinstalled Mailwasher on my desktop and, so far, it is working very well for me. It would have been very helpful if I had the mobile app to sync with the desktop version. Very disappointed. Hence the *.
