This is a good app but it's not very friendly for college students who have to rely on eating at the dining centers. My university, and many others, use Chartwells for their catering services and this app does not have many Chartwell items. For instance, it has "Turkey burger (no bun)" but not hamburger. This is difficult for days that they do not always serve turkey burgers and instead serve hamburgers. If this app had more Chartwell items for college students, I'd definitely give 5 stars!
I love this app and would love to upgrade to the premium version. However, I've tried three different cards, nothing wrong with any of them, and all declined. I tried through the web browser on my phone and on a desktop computer. I contacted support and the best they can offer is that my card is declining because the CVC is incorrect. I'm positive I'm not entering the wrong CVC for three different cards, multiple times. So I guess I'm sticking with the free version. Oh... And you can't update through the app itself. It just says "loading" yet never loads.
I just had a baby and needed to loose weight. I was already 30 pounds over weight and then I gained 55 more pounds. I love my baby but I felt terrible when I looked in the mirror and almost none of my cloths fit me. I thought I was eating right, and I wasn't always motivated to excersize. Because of this app, I am now motivated to eat better, no snacks, and excersize so i can earn the foods I enjoy. I've also learned to saver the foods I love because I know I can't have along of it. Just after a week, I'm so happy to see I've lost 8 pounds. Best app and I've already recommend and had 3 other people get it.
I like the fitness logging and the built in community of users. I do wish the app had a nicer appearance. It looks dated by all the hard edges. I tried other apps because they were more appealing visually, but they didn't have all the features Lose It! has that I actually used. So I came back. Also, could you add the MiFit app/fitness device to your sync list?
I like it and have paid for the full version. I have lost 65lbs in 9 months and tracking my diet is a large part of the effort. I went from guessing what I was eating, to tracking it without changes, to making adjustments using this app, and now I can almost do it without the app but its a habit so why stop? I do wish the interface was more modern and sleek. I work in silicon valley so I see lots of cool UI and this is a year behind IMO. But it does what is supposed to and I don't see any competitors doing it better. I do have some issues with looking at the articles. It seems to lock up sometimes when doing so. Overall, if you're starting to learn how to balance carb fat protein and watch calories this works well. I also track my fiber, blood pressure, and of course weight.
Pretty good app. Switched to it from My Fitness Pal because had to many problems. 2 things though. It should have a "multi-add" feature when adding food to meals, so you don't have to start all over for each item you want to add. And too many nonsensical notifications during the day. If the "multiple-add" feature isn't added, I'll be choosing another app soon.
Twice baked potato. Refried beans. Yoga class. Some things are better the second time around.
Maybe that explains our latest releases: Our Android developer must like fixing bugs so much that he sets himself up to fix ‘em twice.
So go ahead and search brand names in your My Foods List, which is fixed (again). We double-dog-dare ya.
Second time’s the charm.
