About this app

Find what bloats you. Fodmind reads the label on any package, logs your bloating, gas and other IBS symptoms, and shows which foods come before them, with the low FODMAP diet working underneath.

FODMAPs are carbohydrates that the small intestine absorbs poorly; gut bacteria ferment them, and in many people that means bloating and gas. The low FODMAP diet is used mainly in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and it also accompanies other gut conditions such as SIBO. This app is the day-to-day tool: what you can eat, how much fits, and what bloats you specifically.

LABEL AND BARCODE SCANNER: SEE WHAT IN A LABEL CAN BLOAT YOU
Point the camera at the ingredient list and the scanner tells you which FODMAPs that product carries, with nothing to type. It reads barcodes too. And when what is in front of you is a plate rather than a package, take a photo and it tells you what it sees. The supermarket aisle, solved with one hand full.

REINTRODUCTION, STEP BY STEP
Eight guided challenges cover all six FODMAP groups: fructans (bread, onion, garlic), GOS, lactose, fructose, sorbitol and mannitol. Each one names the test food and the dose for day 1, day 2 and day 3. You log how it went and the app records your verdict.

YOUR OWN TOLERANCE LEVEL
Once a challenge is done, the foods carrying that FODMAP are recolored for you. Next to the general rating, a food also shows your personal level. Tolerate lactose? Yogurt stops being red, for you. Any level can be adjusted by hand, and a challenge can be repeated every 3-6 months, because tolerance changes.

MY PLATE: FODMAPS ADD UP
Three foods that are each fine on their own can add up to a meal that is not. Build the full plate and see the load before you sit down. This is the usual answer to "I did everything right and still felt awful".

1843 FOODS
Each one rated low, moderate or high, with the FODMAPs it carries and, where there is a limit, the safe serving in grams or milliliters. Twelve categories, from fruit and vegetables to condiments, snacks and herbs. Filters by category and level, favorites, and search that works with no connection.

THE THREE PHASES EXPLAINED
Guide chapters on what FODMAPs actually are, how to run the elimination phase, how to reintroduce and how to settle into your own long-term IBS diet, plus notes on reading labels and eating out.

RESTAURANT CARD
A card to show in the kitchen, written in all six languages of the app: what you cannot eat, what you can, and how to ask for something simple without garlic or onion.

FOOD AND SYMPTOM DIARY: WHAT BLOATS YOU
Log meals, bloating, gas and other IBS symptoms with their severity, stool and stress in a few taps, picking foods straight from the database. After a week of entries the diary shows your patterns, and its suspects compare the days with each food against the days without it. Exports to PDF to take to your appointment. Everything stays on your device.

97 RECIPES
Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and desserts, with their steps, built from low FODMAP ingredients.

NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS
No ads and no account to create, and the food table, the guide, the recipes and the diary work offline, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.

FODMIND PRO
Fodmind works with Fodmind Pro: the whole app with a single subscription, monthly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with a 3-day trial; nothing is charged during the trial and you can cancel at any time.

Fodmind Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial. You manage and cancel it from Google Play.
