Not really any options for experimenting with various team compositions, if you get the newest 'team', which they don't add to existing ones just add new ones, and level them up quickly you can dominate with them pretty easily. It also used to be where if you did all the events and spent all your energy you could unlock the new characters just in time or be close enough to unlocking them, now it feels as if unlocking is has been reduced to the point of forcing you to buy them with real money.

I was a very, very light spender. Buying someone the cheaper 5 to 30 dollar offers every now and then. Bought some of the strike passes and battle passes if they had characters i thought were important to my roster. I will no longer spend any money. Getting gold in this game is such a slog. The changes to character releases are so putrid. I'm going to keep playing because I've invested a lot of time, and I still find the actual gameplay fun.

Pay to win. Dozens of pop-ups asking you to spend money. Increasingly lazy game design. Very buggy. Insane anounts of power-creep. But hey, they implemented a login rewards system that allows you to skip their broken multiplayer system because they'd rather the players just skip it than try to fix it. When the game first came out, I gave it 5 stars, but as time has gone on, it's just gotten worse. If you value your sanity, do not start playing.
