Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. The FreeStyle Libre 2 app is only compatible with FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors. Learn more about compatibility at http://FreeStyleLibre.com

BEFORE STARTING YOUR SENSOR

Before you start your Sensor, choose which device you want to use.

Alarms and glucose readings can only be received on your phone or your FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader (not both).

To receive alarms and glucose readings on your phone, you must start the Sensor with the FreeStyle Libre 2 app.

To receive alarms and glucose readings on your FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader, you must start the Sensor with your Reader.

Note that the FreeStyle Libre 2 app and Reader do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

If a new sensor was scanned by the app first, the receiver cannot scan and says sensor was started by another device (same as the other way around), so if my phone replaces my receiver, I have to make sure I can charge it throughout the day, since it's either the app or receiver, not both, can scan the sensor. The alarms are loud and I think it would be good if we could adjust the volume. Overall I like Libre sensors and I've been using them for probably 5+ years, just the apps need work.

I don't know if an update changed the app but the alarms are incredibly annoying. I used to be able to vibrate the alarms but it doesn't seem to be able to do so anymore. Especially if my sugar is high. After the first time of it ringing and me acknowledging it IT DOES NOT need to keep telling me every five minutes or so. And I also do not need the constant notification of turning out battery optimization after I have already denied it the first 20 times.

I got this app when my reader died. The next day I called to get a new one because the app is so annoying. The alarms are ear-piercingly high and loud. No way to change the volume or the sound. And I constantly get warnings that "alarms are unavailable". Why? Because I have been using the reader for almost two weeks now instead of the app and I turned off bluetooth. Uninstalling to keep my sanity.
