About this app

Cronosurf Wave is a chronograph watch app for Android devices and a watchface for Wear OS watches. No other OS are supported for now. Note: Due to latest Google policies allowing only WFF watch faces on the Play Store (from 2026 on), we had to remove the Wear OS version from this release. Previously installed watch faces will continue to function.

This app is based on the original design started 2014 as a web-based technology demonstrator (cronosurf.com). Its main focus lays on design, functionality and usability. It has become the most popular chronograph watch face for Androidd/Wear OS. If you are a chronograph watch lover, you'll find yourself using Cronosurf as your day-to-day app for alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch.

Since Cronosurf has many features, the app includes a comprehensive user manual. The Button Assistant (also available on the web version) labels each button according to the momentary state of the watch and helps you to quickly get familiarized with the basics. To activate it, simply tap on the area above the watch.

Discover all the special features and great usability of Cronosurf Wave. You will love it!

Standalone Android smartwatches are also supported. Note that Cronosurf runs as a regular app on these devices (not as a native watchface).

It's very nice, and functional. If only it had a widget, I'd give it a perfect score. For now, I'm using the LWP and resized the watch face so it looks like a widget. Also, the hour and minute hands seem to blend into the watch face so sometimes it's hard to quickly see the time. Maybe if they were a different color like blue or red or even cyan? Nicer if they were 3D like the seconds hand. The world time would also be nice with multiple presets (like some of the Citizen eco-drive watches).

One of the nicest watch faces ever. There is a problem though: when the watch wakes (I don't use AOD) the seconds hand jumps from the previous position it was at the time screen went off, and that dragging looks awful. The watch face would be perfect If you could fix that. Thank you for your reply, I know that you updated your app, problem is that I won't use ambient mode because there have been some reports in SGW4 of burn in displays with several watch faces, also battery drain issues. Would be great if that fix isn't only for ambient mode.

We included a new option "Instant second hand" in version 3.3.0 under advanced settings. When enabled, the second hand will appear at the exact time when returning from ambient mode. EDIT: In the new update (v3.4.0), this now also works when coming back from screen-off mode. Thanks for your engagement!

Controls on the phone same as on watch (got to do 15 steps to set anything) its like the creator went out of the way to make it more difficult to use this, user manual if printed would be an inch thick for no reason. I mean if using stand alone yes very useful but when connected to the phone unnecessarily over complicated (love the looks, hate controls) In the end deleating it
