BRAVE Ghana (Bullying Reporting and Victim Empowerment) is a youth-led, evidence-based mental health and anti-bullying initiative committed to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for young people across Ghana.
Founded in 2025, BRAVE Ghana addresses the growing crisis of bullying and its harmful impact on students’ emotional, psychological, and academic well-being. The initiative works to transform school cultures by shifting students from silence to support, from fear to courage, and from harm to healing.
Through strong partnerships with institutions such as the Ghana TVET Service, schools, and community stakeholders, BRAVE Ghana delivers structured programs that equip students, teachers, and Guidance & Counselling Coordinators with the tools needed to prevent bullying, identify mental health challenges, and provide effective support systems.
At the core of the initiative are BRAVE Clubs — student-led peer support groups that train young people to become advocates, mentors, and change agents within their schools. These clubs promote empathy, leadership, emotional intelligence, and responsible peer engagement.
BRAVE Ghana provides person-centered, confidential, and accessible support services, including anonymous reporting systems, AI-assisted guidance tools, and expert-backed mental health resources. Students are able to safely report bullying incidents, seek help at any time, and receive guidance without fear of stigma or retaliation.
By focusing on both prevention and support, BRAVE Ghana is helping to:
* Reduce bullying and violence in schools
* Improve students’ mental health and emotional resilience
* Strengthen peer relationships and school communities
* Promote safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments
* Empower young people to become confident and socially responsible citizens
With 500+ youths already impacted, 5+ campus partnerships, 24/7 access to support, and 100% confidentiality, BRAVE Ghana is building a nationwide movement to ensure that every young person in Ghana feels safe, heard, and empowered.
