RockGeo is a field geological mapping app for geologists, students, consultants, researchers, mining, geotechnical work and environmental projects.
The app is built for fieldwork, with a focus on offline data collection, geological point organization and export to technical workflows.
Main features:
- local project creation;
- GPS point collection;
- accuracy, altitude and time records;
- point description, geological unit and lithology;
- photos linked to field points;
- audio linked to field points;
- structural measurements;
- samples;
- layers and references;
- GeoJSON, KML, CSV and local package exports;
- pre-field preparation and post-field organization;
- optional AI and online map features using the user's own keys.
The field module is offline-first: the app does not require its own server to create projects, record points, save photos, record audio and export basic data.
External services such as AI, Google Maps, Google Earth Engine and Sentinel Hub are optional and depend on credentials provided by the user.
The full field module is free: projects, points, photos, audio, structural measurements, contour lines, basic geological section and all GIS exports (GeoJSON, KML, Shapefile, CSV) - with no limits and no ads.
RockGeo Pro unlocks professional analysis tools through a subscription processed by Google Play:
- 2D slope stability by limit equilibrium (Bishop, Fellenius, Janbu, Spencer and GLE), with water, surcharges, seismic loads, scenarios and sensitivity;
- Hoek & Bray kinematic screening (planar, wedge and toppling) with stereonet;
- technical conclusion guided by NBR 11682;
- advanced geological section (automatic guides and analysis export);
- DXF import and drawing over photo or PDF;
- pre-field work with Google Earth Engine and Sentinel (user's own keys);
- AI assistant and complete reports.
Plans: monthly R$ 49.90 or yearly R$ 399.90 (equivalent to R$ 33.25/month). The yearly plan is recommended. Prices set in Play Console may vary by country.
The app asks the user to create a local account (name, email and password) to identify the user; credentials remain only on the device.
Technical notice: the app is a support tool. Data, interpretations, reports and AI responses must be reviewed by a qualified professional.
