Ghouroub Clock is not just another prayer-times app — it revives “ghouroub time,” the historic Arabic reckoning in which the clock is reset to 12:00 at every maghrib. It brings three time systems, prayer times, the qibla and a working sundial together in one elegant app.
★ Three time systems in one clock
• Ghouroub: the clock returns to 12:00 at the moment of sunset, the way old mechanical clocks were kept.
• Gregorian and Hijri: with the Hijri date rolling over at maghrib, not at midnight.
• A refined circular dial shows the whole ghouroub day with maghrib at the top, plus a countdown to the next prayer.
★ Prayer times — calibrated to the Tripoli calendar
• Accurate astronomical calculation that works offline, calibrated to Tripoli’s mosque calendar (96% within one minute).
• Adhan and iqama shown together, with per-prayer and per-iqama adjustment.
• Divisions of the night: Islamic midnight and the last third.
• Multiple worldwide calculation methods, both Asr madhabs, and a Summer/Winter/Auto option.
★ Solar time (sundial)
• A traditional brass sundial showing zawal (solar noon), with a shadow that moves in the sun’s real direction for your location.
• Displays the sun’s direction, altitude, and the offset from civil time.
★ Qibla
• A precise compass corrected to true north (not magnetic), with the bearing and the distance to the Kaaba.
★ A distinctive home-screen widget
• A clock that ticks on its own at almost no battery cost, with a one-tap time-system switch.
• A second widget showing today’s six prayer times in both civil and ghouroub time.
★ Smart alarms
• Alarms anchored to civil time, to ghouroub time, or to a prayer (± minutes).
• A pre-adhan reminder (maghrib by default) and a “window closing” reminder before a prayer ends.
• Automatic silencing at prayer time, then restoring your ringer exactly as it was.
• Choose the adhan and reminder sounds from the app’s tones or your phone’s ringtones.

• A full Arabic interface with correct right-to-left layout, Arabic-Indic digits and Levantine month names — with English support.
