We greatly appreciated the history, stories and music while driving!! At first the tips on where to stop for snax and drinks was annoying until we stopped at the Fish Market, got lunch and went to the described picnic area. Ok,after that we were sold on everything! Some driving directions were a teence outdated as infrastructure has been improved since publication. Thanks for an authentic Hawaiian welcome! Families will greatly appreciate the attention paid to comfort of the young ones

Highly recommend for those who have rented a car and are interested in seeing a lot around the island and learning a bit along the way. A bit corny, but for the most part spot on and kid friendly. Saw way more than we would have on our own and it was very easy to use. It does drain the battery (as the app itself calls out), so be prepared with a battery pack or USB charger.

The app is great- professionally made and super fun. We learned about a lot of cool things we would have normally just driven right past. BUT the tech support is awful. We called their help line twice, and both times we got an answering machine. The first time they didn't get back to us until the next day, after we had toured one section of the island without the Shaka Guide. The second time, well, we haven't heard back from them yet. So we weren't able to use two of the four segments we bought.
