It definitely saves you money, but you have to load money onto the card before you can buy fuel, and that process takes way too long. It's Dec 30th, I will need fuel by Jan 2, and it says the funds won't be available until Jan 7th. Who plans their fueling 9 days in advance?? You can use a debit card for a 2% fee which cuts into your savings. It also forces you to authorize at least 10 gallons of DEF even if you don't need it so you need to load an extra $40 to your wallet if you want to fill up.

I downloaded this app as it came highly recommended for Class A motorhome diesel pushers. The app is easy to use, and the savings are good, ave 35 cents gal. We saved approximately $75 on our trip, which was just over 1000 miles. You can start using the app and get the savings immediately as long as you are at a fueling station that doesn't require a physical card, which was home when we got there. The Open Roads requires their card at stations from the get-go, which didn't work for us.

From what I see in the app and fuel map, Greenlane offers better savings than most competitors. The discounts look strong and the layout is easy to use. The only reason I’m not using it yet is because it doesn’t support Discover cards, which is my main card while I’m just starting out. If Discover were accepted, I’d use it regularly. Once revenue grows, I’d consider linking my bank account.
