App would be very useful except it requires a credit card for verification. Really? A free app? So reluctantly I tried 2 different credit cards. Both were rejected because they were the wrong "type"! Really (part 2)? A Visa and American Express? I wasn't about to try my 3rd card as it was the main one we were traveling with. Seems like a good way to harvest credit card numbers to me.

Hi Robert, we certainly don’t require any sort of credit card verification. We wonder if this might have been a malicious banner ad. Did you happen to get a screenshot of it by any chance? We will try to track it down and report it to Google.

eh...well, it's an app, I guess. it works fine, ads don't take up all of the screen. it's not accurate half the time, which is kinda annoying cuz....y'know, I'm trying to get to school on time, but whatever. like, it'll say ___ bus in 2 minutes, 1 minute, now...no bus. not a single bus goes by. I reload it- 1 minute ago. huh? what? anyways, whatever. I'm not uninstalling it because it's the most useful one I have, so I'll deal with it, I guess

Thanks for your feedback Rosko. Was real-time data available when this happened? If the bus isn't providing any real-time data, we'll show "Real-time data unavailable", and revert to showing the scheduled time, as per the timetable.

Most countries have apps for their public transport free of charge to the public. Australia has decided to charge for the product and if you don't want to pay, you get the inferior version, TripView Lite. Packed with ads and the inability to save trips, its one of the most annoying applications I've ever used. Just finished planning a trip, locked your phone and then want to check it again for a detail? Nope, start again from scratch.

Hi Sean, TripView is not a government app. We're a small indie app developer, and sales from the full version directly support development of the app. The lite version doesn't save trips, but it should retain your trip for a grace period of around 5 minutes (please let us know if this is not working for you).

What’s new

- Added padding around all banner ads to reduce the chance of accidental clicks
- Upgraded to the latest version of Google Ads, which includes stability and performance improvements
