Buying tickets doesn't work (for me) - there's only a pop-up notification "Oops, that didn't work, please try again." When I select "My tickets", I get the same error message. I deleted/added my debit card, re-installed the app, but nothing worked. My phone: Samsung S7 Hope that helps for bug fixing. Everything else seems to work just fine. Please, fix this payment issue.
I purchased a ticket from burscough to Manchester for £14.90. Unfortunetly all trains to Manchester had been cancelled for the day. This is clearly not my fault yet I was only aloud a partial refund of £4.90 because of some £10 admin fee. What aload of bollocks!! Never using again !!!!
My only suggestion is a dark theme. Otherwise all good.
A good timesaving tool, with an easy user interface, but you will not get the all available journey routes or prices when booking through the app rather than the website. Booking via the app reduces your ticket and journey options. For example first class tickets are only available at the most expensive rate, rather than the lesser rates available when booking on the train line website. Also, some routes available via the website are not made available on the app. Another issue is that since the last update, seat reservations (if on the 2nd or later connecting train of a journey) do not show on the app. The only workaround I've found is logging onto "my bookings" on the website and reviewing the full ticket information.
A very simple to use application, holds your journey information until completed and shows up-to-date timing on departures. Lacking the same depth of information for sections covering the London Underground network though, which I'd like to see updated to eleviate concerns and searching around/asking staff which changes to take. All-in-all though a very effective tool which saves money over the purchase methods of decades gone by.
Best in class app. One UX/UI suggestion. When I tap on the "Also valid on" I expect to see all the trains that I can travel with INCLUDING the one that I have the ticket for. The were multiple occasions when I was viewing the list and didn't see my train there simply because it's removed from there.
We’re about to get ‘meta’ as the What’s New is what’s new. Yes, it’s new, it has emoji, we even drew a train (that moves!). We hope that makes you happy.
Back to the future
The app will now remember your last used tab, even after you’ve closed the app, this makes it easy for you to go back to where you started. Flux capacitor not required.
