Ratings and reviews

$15/mo is a lot for whats basically chatgpt with limited tracking. The lessons are very basic. Why ask me my level then give me "introductions" and "は particle" as lessons anyway. The conversations would be fine if there was any structure to them but they go on seemingly forever until you just quit. The tracking is just your activity history. Also, the instruction started off in Japanese and randomly switched to English after 2 lessons. Assumed it's due to making Japanese errors, but say that.

This app is great for practicing but could use some quality improvements. Sometimes the app will get stuck and you can no longer look at definitions by highlighting characters. If you switch apps to look up a definition or something you will lose all progress in your chat and have to restart. All kanji even in the beginner section does not have any hiragana above it. When you press the help button it will give you suggestions on what to say next but no help on how to say it.

it's actually nice though, I'm still starting to learn Japanese and doesn't know how to hold a conversation yet due to lack of knowing many Japanese word, i don't know if i did something wrong that's why it directly started a chat for me, when i can barely talk back, it's helpful though, i got to force myself to speak and understand as much as possible. this is only my opinion, it's still pretty nice and helpful so i do recommend it.
