It is disappointing when an app prioritizes pushing products over user experience. The curv device only works with this app, so we are forced to live with ads. I chose this app after knowing its ability to help track readings, and in that aspect, it performs well. Also, it supports multiple profiles, which can be convenient for families or shared device. Furthermore, the vitals scan option provided strange and inconsistent results for me. It seems more like a gimmick than a reliable feature.

I've been using Beato for over 3 years, used to be a seamless experience, untill the pointless integration of GenAI in blood sugar testing UX. The changes have made it extremely difficult to identify if the Strips have been detected or not. I have wasted a few strips because there was no clear feedback in the UI, just lots of text. Earlier there were clear steps with ticks shown, that gave me confidence that strips have been detected. The chat interface doesn't work, keep it simple!

Update: Awaiting new strips to check if the issue is resolved This was working fine with my Beato Curv till recently. This has now become the junkest app after update. On iPhone the app doesn't even recognise the beato curv. On Android it successfully wasted three strips giving different errors each time ranging from unknown error to insufficient blood. I don't understand who gives such idea of integrating chatgpt etc when there is no use case for it. Destroyed a perfectly working app.
