✂️ TELL IT WHAT TO CUT
Type a plain-English instruction — “cut the silences,” “keep only the shots with a face,” “delete every frame with my phone in it” — and Guillotine finds the ranges and makes the cuts. Point it at a single frame (“this is my phone”) to track that exact object through the clip. All of this runs on-device with real vision: object, face and scene detection, plus a free silence detector.

🤖 AN AI THAT USES THE REAL TOOLS
A built-in assistant turns your words into real edits — splitting clips, deleting ranges, applying looks — by driving the same editor you use by hand. Bring your own key for a cloud model, or run a fully on-device LLM. Either way the AI only ever works with text: your video is never uploaded.

🎬 A REAL MULTI-TRACK TIMELINE (VEGAS-STYLE)
• Stack video and audio tracks that truly composite — the top track over the layers below
• Crossfade overlapping clips on a track
• Split, group, and drag clips across tracks
• Long-press a clip’s edge to trim its in/out point — or re-extend a trimmed clip back into its source
• Pinch or Ctrl-scroll to zoom; tap anywhere to seek
• On-device thumbnails and audio waveforms on every clip

🎚️ KEYFRAMES, FILTERS & AUDIO
• Animate opacity, scale and volume with keyframes and a cubic-bezier curve editor
• Brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, sepia, blur, grayscale, invert — with presets
• Per-clip volume, left/right pan and loudness normalization
• Crop, scale and rotate any clip — video, image or text — right on the preview

🪄 GENERATIVE & CREATIVE
• Remove an unwanted object and repaint the background so it looks natural
• Background removal: drop a clip’s background so the layer below shows through
• Generate images from a prompt — free with no key, or bring a key for more models
• Text and captions as overlays; auto-transcribe speech into timed caption clips (on-device or cloud)

📼 REAL MP4 EXPORT
Rendering happens on-device with hardware encoding. Removed ranges are physically cut; every effect, transform, caption and audio mix is baked in; and the finished mp4 is saved straight to your gallery.

🔔 KEEPS WORKING IN THE BACKGROUND
Long jobs — analysis, object removal, export — keep running when you leave the app, with a progress notification you can pause, resume or cancel.

⚡ AUTOMATION FOR POWER USERS
While the editor is open, Guillotine runs a small, token-protected automation server (MCP) so an AI tool of your choice can read your timeline and apply edits for you. It carries your project — not your media files — and an optional end-to-end-encrypted relay lets a tool reach it from anywhere. Off by default.
