Trueflat turns the dimensions of a sheet metal part into its flat pattern. Pick a shape, enter the sizes in millimetres or in inches with fractions, and watch the 3D model unfold onto the sheet.
59 shapes in one catalogue: cones and frustums, transitions including square to round, tees and pipe intersections, segmented elbows, offsets, rectangular ducts, pyramids, sphere gores, flanges and industrial parts such as helix flights and dished heads.
Sheet thickness is part of the input. Say whether your dimensions are inside, middle or outside and the pattern is developed on the neutral line. Each shape tells you whether its pattern is exact or approximate, and by how much.
Take the pattern to the shop floor the way you work:
DXF export at 1:1 in millimetres for plasma, laser or waterjet cutting.
Tiled 1:1 PDF with a 100 mm check line, so you can confirm the print scale before you cut.
A hand layout guide using the ordinate method, for marking out with a square and a tape.
A material quote with sheet area, weight and price.
