¹ Funds from payroll-related direct deposits may be made available up to two days early. Early access to payroll deposits applies to the direct deposit of funds from your employer. Employer direct deposits vary and, as a result, it is not possible to guarantee early access to your pay. Factors that will affect this include the sender’s deposit description used and the timing of their submission of deposit. In order to provide this service, we generally post such deposits on the business day we receive notice that the deposit is scheduled, which may be up to two (2) business days earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date. In general, benefit checks (direct deposit or otherwise) from the federal or state government will not be eligible for early access based on the parameters we use. As an example, benefits that generally would not receive early access include but are not limited to unemployment, retirement, pension, civil service, railroad retirement and veteran’s payments.

I've been using the app since 2020 when I began college and this was the bank my college was partnered with. Receiving my scholarship/financial aid awards through direct deposit and being able to submit checks through the app were always convenient aspects I enjoyed. Since graduating, I still continue to use BankMobile. However, recently I've been experiencing issues with transferring money from my savings to checkings and vice versa, receiving "transfer unsuccessful" messages instead.

Hi Maria. Please contact us directly so we can assist you. BMTX conducts a daily maintenance every evening around 11PM ET, which lasts a few hours. This maintenance does not affect debit card purchases, however may affect your ability to transfer funds during this time. We look forward to hearing from you. Paul

They need to give us a schedule of when it's down for maintenance. Well over a dozen times I've gone to use the app and I'm unable to transfer money or use my card. It says "oh we're working but you can still do all the important stuff like use your money"... But you can't. Extremely frustrating and even more embarrassing at the checkout stand when I've got two bags of groceries, NOT happy!!! Hate to give this rating, because customer service is outstanding 90% of the time.

Hi Ericka. We apologize for any inconvenience. BMTX conducts a daily maintenance every evening around 11PM ET, which lasts a few hours, however this maintenance does not affect debit card purchases. Please schedule your funds transfers outside of this time-frame so you are able to access your funds without any issues. Thanks. Paul

They're fast to respond with issues, but I've had a lot of issue with security over the years. This time, since I set up two factors that protected me, thankfully fraud also keeps an eye on my account. Overall easy bank to work with, my only complaint is my own issues. Would use bankmobile, would also make sure you have security setup once you get your card. Two factors protects you!
