Worst app. During some urgent need, many services will not be available. App lags too much, very heavy ui interface. Frequently it shows error of temporary delay while opening app. Frequent updates makes the app reset all settings and have to login instead of snapshot of latest account details. Overall, many features are not convenient to use smoothly.
Okay app. Still playing catch up with Chase's excellent mobile app, but it's been improving. One recent complaint is that the fingerprint sign on does not work. I'm using the most up to date version of the app, and was excited to see this feature finally implemented, however, every time you close it, when you start a new session you are prompted to type your password, and then greeted with "we now support fingerprint!", but it ultimately never saves. I'm on a Pixel running Android 7.1.2.
Citi only allows mobile deposit of 1000 while other banks allow 5000. I get monthly check for 1050.00 and because it is 50 over the limited amount I am unable to use. COME ON CITI GET WITH THE TIMES INCREASE YOUR DEPOSIT AMOUNT!!!! Also took down convenient atms locally where you could deposit without having to drive to the bank to make deposits. my bank is 5 miles from my house, old atm to deposit checks was 6 blocks. they have a atm app locater that doesn't work , which was to be put in place on Jan 2017. and although they increased the monthly deposit to 3000.00 a month, you can only deposit 1000. 00 a day. now is time to start looking to more convenient banking.
Citibank has come a long way with their current Android app. Deposits of checks is easy albeit below $1K. Viewing transactions in all accounts look good and the screens are similar to the Windows app. Good job developers!
Interface is clunky and menu trees are way too complex for the actions required. The relative simple designs of Chase and Discover credit card apps are miles ahead of this complicated mess. If I needed to perform complicated functions I would use the website (which is also terrible by comparison). Run into constant "experiencing delays" dialogue boxes when I open the app even though the interface and account details renders in the background. Slim this POS down.
I used to use this app almost everyday, now I attempt to use it everyday and am stuck in the circle of death. I can't even remember the last time I used it successfully. Fingerprint is never recognized, thought that was the problem so I went back to password login, nope still doesn't let me see any transactions. Luckily I can log into the website and be more inconvenienced. Yay technology!
