About this app

QuickDo is a to-do list that opens fast, captures a task in a second, and then gets out of your way.

No account. No ads. No sync. Nothing you type ever leaves your phone — QuickDo does not even ask for internet access.

CAPTURE IN A SECOND
Tap the plus, type the task, done. Everything else — priority, category, due date, reminder, steps — is optional and lives on the same screen, so you never dig through menus to add a detail.

COLOUR THAT MEANS SOMETHING
QuickDo is deliberately monochrome, and the only colour in the app carries information. A red rule down the side of a task means high priority. Amber means medium, green means low. A due date turns red when it has passed. Nothing is tinted for decoration, which is exactly why the red is findable.

CATEGORIES FOR YOUR STREAMS OF WORK
Give each stream a name, one of six inks and an icon — Work, Personal, Errands, whatever you actually run. Tasks carry their category's colour everywhere they appear: the list, the board, the groups, the stats.

TWO WAYS TO SEE THE SAME TASKS
• Normal mode is a list — the fastest way to work through a day
• Developer mode is a board — Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Done
Switching is a toggle in Settings. Both read the same storage, so a task captured in one shows up in the other, and stats, reminders and backups keep working across both.

REMINDERS THAT FIRE ON THE RIGHT TASK
Set a time and forget it. Every reminder is keyed to its own task, so deleting or reordering your list never repoints someone else's alarm. Reminders survive a restart.

GROUP AND FILTER
Group by status, category or due date with one tap. Filter by status, priority or category, and sort however you think. Search by voice if your hands are busy.

STEPS
Break a task into steps and watch the progress dots fill in on the list row. No nesting, no projects inside projects — just the checklist a real task needs.

STATS
See how much you actually finished, and how your work splits across priorities and categories. Drawn from your real tasks, with nothing inflated.

YOUR DATA IS YOURS
• Everything is stored in a database on your device
• Export a JSON backup, share it, or import one back
• No sign-in, no cloud, no account to delete
• The app has no internet permission at all, so nothing can be uploaded even by accident

PERMISSIONS, AND WHY
• Notifications and exact alarms — so a reminder you set for 4:00 PM fires at 4:00 PM, including after a restart. This is the core of the reminders feature.
• Microphone — only when you tap the microphone to dictate a task or a search. Dictation uses your device's own speech recognition; QuickDo never records or stores audio.
• Vibration — haptic feedback on actions.
