The Hola Barcelona app is useful if you want to find tourist information, but doesn't provide as much practical use as I'd like. To improve the user experience, allow digital transport/attraction card usage via QR codes/NFC and don't require people to pick up passes at kiosks. Add filters to transport and attractions searches to eliminate ones that aren't included in the Hola pass, such as showing A1/A2 transport lines or attractions that require a cost versus those that are free.

We bought the Hola Barcelona 3 day pass online, very easy to do. Once we arrived stopped at the ticket machine at the airport and activated with the code received. Highly recommend downloading the app as soon as you purchase tickets. It was a life saver for us, not only does it tell which train/bus to take but also gives you the steps when walking making it very convenient.

This is a useless app. I downloaded it hoping that it would tell me where the stops are for the hop-on hop-off bus. not only does it not tell you where the stops are half the pages don't load. I have no idea what the point of this app is, I couldn't find any information that wasn't on Google maps in a much or user-friendly fashion.
