Manila is a PDF toolkit that works entirely on your phone.
No account. No ads. No upload. Turn on airplane mode and every tool still works, because the whole engine - page rendering, compression, AES-256 encryption - is inside the app.
FREE TOOLS
- Photos to PDF - camera or gallery, many pages, A4 / Letter / fit-to-photo, choose the order
- Merge PDFs - combine files in any order you like
- Split / extract - pull out a page range like 1-3, 7, 10-
- Organize pages - reorder, rotate and delete pages, with a thumbnail of every page
These four have no page limit and put no watermark on your file.
PRO TOOLS
- Redact - the covered words are REMOVED from the file. Drawing a black rectangle over text (what most apps call redaction) leaves the text in place and a copy-paste gets it back. Manila rebuilds the marked pages so there is nothing underneath. Pages you did not mark keep their selectable text.
- Compress - the photos inside a PDF are re-encoded at three quality levels. Your text stays text: we never flatten the page into an image. If a file is already tight, Manila says so instead of pretending.
- Add password - AES-256 encryption, done on the phone.
- Remove password - takes off a password you already know and type in.
- Watermark - diagonal text on every page, with opacity, angle and size.
- Page numbers - position, starting number, "7" or "7 / 12", skip the cover page.
- PDF to JPG - one image per page, screen or print resolution.
WHY OFFLINE MATTERS
A contract, a payslip, a passport scan, a medical report - these are the documents people convert most, and they are exactly the ones you should not upload to a website you know nothing about. Manila has no server of its own. Your file is opened, changed and saved on the device in your hand.
HONEST BY DESIGN
- The app asks for one permission: internet, used only for the Google Play subscription and a small settings file with no personal data.
- No advertising ID, no analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party trackers.
- Files are chosen one at a time through Android's own picker, so the app never holds a standing storage or camera permission.
- A password you lose cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. We say so before you set one.
PRO SUBSCRIPTION
The PRO tools are unlocked with an auto-renewing subscription billed through Google Play. The current price, and any free trial, are shown by Google Play in your own currency - inside the app and on this page. It renews until you cancel, and you cancel in Google Play > Subscriptions.
