A FEW HONEST NOTES
Long exposure is a real photographic technique, and it behaves like one:
• It wants darkness. Bright moving light against a dark scene is what makes a trail. Pointing at a brightly lit room will wash out — that is the technique, not a fault.
• It wants a steady phone. Rest it on a wall, a railing, a bag — anything solid.
• It wants a few seconds. A car crossing the frame takes time.
Get those three right and the results are the kind of photograph people stop scrolling for.
