WOOF listens to your dog through the microphone and reads the bark.
Tap once, let your dog bark, and WOOF measures the sound 50 times a second — how long it lasted, how many bursts it had, where the pitch sat, whether it rose or fell, how rough it was. It scores those numbers against eight mood profiles and shows you the closest match, with a phrase to go with it.
FOR FUN — AND HONEST ABOUT IT
WOOF is entertainment. It reads the characteristics of a sound; it is not a scientific translation, and dogs do not have a language that can be translated. No app can tell you what an animal is thinking, and we will not pretend otherwise. If you are worried about your dog, see a vet.
THE BARK SIGNATURE — WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most "dog translator" apps pick a random answer and hope you do not notice. WOOF does not. Every reading comes with the actual measurement drawn on screen: the loudness envelope, the frequency bands underneath, and the six raw numbers behind the result. Bark the same way twice and you get the same reading — because the matching is deterministic, with no random pick anywhere in the app.

The bark is measured on your device, in memory, as it arrives — then thrown away. Nothing is recorded to a file. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no login, no analytics, no ads and no tracking of any kind. The only things stored are the readings you choose to save, and they never leave your phone.
