What can I say? It is a semi Descent TV streaming App but there are better options out there for the 35/month price with more channels and programming. The video skips and glitches although I have a strong 4G signal in my area where I watch. I cannot recommend this app. The only good feature is the Unlimited Cloud DVR but not worth the 35/month when Sling TV offers a lot of On Demand viewing content to compare and the video doesn't skip and glitch like with YouTube TV.
Overall I'm satisfied with YouTube TV. It serves up the content that is described with a very smooth experience. There are a few things that I would like to see added to the service: 1. The Cleveland-Akron area market needs to be added so they my community can watch local content on YouTube TV. 2. CNN needs to be added to the list of networks offered. 3. I would like to see a guide offered within the app, the guide should show what's playing and what is coming up next OR release a companion app that is a guide for my streaming package.
On my brand new LG G5, half the screen goes blank when using YouTube TV and viewing video. Full picture returns when viewing lists on the app but disappears when videos steam.
Update 6/28: Casting to Android TV devices has been fixed (Yay!, Thanks Google!) I'm very impressed with the response time to fix this bug. A standalone Android TV version would be great. I really have no issues at all now with the app, only a few feature requests like when recording a TV series the ability to record either "all" or only "new" like you would on a Tivo or cable dvr to keep down the clutter of my library. Would also love to be able to queue up my recorded shows like in the YouTube app. All in all, though, both the app and the service are very good.
It seemed like it worked but only is available in NYC, LA, Philly, Chicago, and San Francisco right now so I can't even use it. So I immediately uninstalled it.
Worked well at first now it cuts out for 5 seconds every 30-60 seconds while casting. There is no tablet support. Seems like app was released prematurely. Most definitely I will after free trial.
