So far this has been a good replacement for Google Play Music. The UI has some glitches - in functionality and design. The notification is awkward to discard and sometimes reappears. I also use the album view which in my opinion has some design flaws. E.g. the list of albums could be visibly grouped by artist and it should be possible to easily select individual songs without playing the entire album.

Hi! This all can be fixed with settings! 1) Try switching notifications to Android's. Menu > Playback Options > Android Media Controls. 2) You can group by album artist, tap the "Albums" tab a second time to bring up all the group and sort options. 3) You can list an album by tapping the name, to play it, tap the artwork. Hope that all helps!

For people who just upload their own songs, to stream them on their devices, download them, or edit them (ie using the app as a music server/locker) this is perfect. Does everything that GPM did and YTMusic wishes it could do. Premium membership adds things like higher quality streaming, but if you're downloading songs anyway it doesn't make a difference. I just subscribed to premium bc this app is promising and I hope to support it's upkeep/development. UI could be better however.

Installed a few days ago. So far, so good. I am using this to replace Google Play Music (RIP). YouTube Music is a disaster. I have sync'ed all my music to the cloud. But I am disappointed that the version of the app for Android TV (Chromecast with Google TV - CCWGTV) does not play from the cloud. You have to "cast" from your phone. WHY??? ---UPDATE--- Okay, so it DOES actually play from the cloud. But I need my PHONE to control it. There's no UI for the CCWGTV. That is a pain!
