Scan to Speech turns printed text into speech. Point your camera at a page, a sign, a label or a menu, and the app reads it out loud.
Made for anyone who would rather listen than read:
• Low vision — enlarge nothing, just listen
• Dyslexia and reading fatigue — follow along line by line

• Hands busy — listen to a document while you do something else
WHAT IT DOES
• Scan printed text with the camera or from a photo in your gallery
• Recognises Latin, Chinese, Japanese and Korean script
• Reads the text aloud, line by line, with repeat and loop
• Adjust speaking speed and pitch to suit you
• Type or paste text in directly when there is nothing to scan
• Keeps a history of everything you have scanned
• Playback continues in the background
Speech uses the text-to-speech voices already installed on your device, so the languages available depend on your device settings.
