The Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is the only FDA cleared, tubeless automated insulin delivery system that integrates with Dexcom G6® CGM and automatically adjusts insulin delivery to manage blood glucose with no multiple daily injections and zero fingersticks*.

Simple and automated insulin delivery with the Omnipod 5 System is made possible with the tubeless Omnipod 5 Pod, the integrated Dexcom G6® continuous glucose monitoring system and the Omnipod 5 App installed on an Insulet-provided controller or on your personal compatible smart phone**.

The Omnipod 5 App allows you to select a basal profile, target glucose and bolus settings, activate and deactivate the Pod, connect with the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, and select an insulin delivery mode.

Intended Use:
The Omnipod 5 App is part of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System. The Omnipod 5 System is for prescription use only. The Omnipod 5 System is indicated for use by individuals with Type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older. The Omnipod 5 System is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription. The Omnipod 5 System is compatible with the following U-100 insulins: NovoLog®, Humalog®, and Admelog®.

App is simple to use after the initial setup. Is it perfect no, but the issues I have encountered have been pretty small. One update made it so the phone version stopped working on my phone for about a month until a fix had been released. That's probably the worst issue I have had. I started with the previous generation of omnipod (dash) and wouldn't give this up. I'm excited for the upgrade to the dexcom 7

This app works okay. Having initially used the OmniPod provided dummy phone for about a year and a half this was an upgrade to avoid having two phones on my side. However, after setting up your phone app, the choices you make are very different to change. Resetting the password is one. (How was I supposed to know that I'd have to enter it at least 20,000 times a day... or fewer?) I've been to a few Who concerts that were less loud than the *only* alarm setting. An "adult" setting would be nice.

This app is horrible. It crashes and won't relaunch, requiring a reinstall, which brings all of the settings and algorithm variables to their defaults. The learning is very slow so it can take months of manual bolus dosing before it starts performing decently. The convenience of Omnipod is overshadowed by bugs, extremely conservative strategies, and poor application of technology.
