Quarko is a collection of twelve brain puzzle games in one calm app. Each game has its own rules, its own art and its own campaign, and every one of them is built on a real idea from science: optics, magnetism, cellular automata, graph coloring, human perception.
There is very little to read and nothing to rush. You look, you try something, and the puzzle answers you.
TWELVE PUZZLE GAMES, NOT TWELVE VARIATIONS
• Spectile: match colors the way the eye actually sees them
• Sortropy: sort particles by the laws that move them
• Lumika: aim a beam of light through mirrors, prisms and splitters
• Magnetar: steer a charge through fields and gates
• Genesis: seed a cellular automaton and grow it into a target shape
• Deduce: wordless logic deduction, no language needed
• Terra: color a map so that no two neighboring regions match
• Augur: find the hidden rule behind right and wrong examples
• Voronoi: place seeds and shape the regions they claim
• Umbra: rotate solid fragments until their shadow fits a silhouette
• Kanixa: turn wedges until a shape that is not drawn appears anyway
• Gyre: solve a machine of coupled rotors
LEVELS AND ENDLESS, IN EVERY GAME
Levels is a real campaign. Puzzles open in order, they get harder, and the stars you earn stay earned. Endless builds fresh puzzles at three difficulty tiers, with no timer and no way to lose, so you can stay inside one game for as long as it holds you.
TODAY'S OBSERVATION
A new puzzle every day, taken from a different game each time. Solving it keeps your streak alive and pays Quanta, the currency hints are bought with.
THE SKY
A star map of the whole collection. Every level you clear lights one more point on it, so your progress across all twelve games sits on a single screen.
BUILT TO PLAY OFFLINE
Every puzzle plays offline. There is no account to create and no connection to wait for, so the app behaves the same on a plane or underground. Open it for two minutes between two other things, or settle into one game for an hour.
PUZZLES THAT REWARD LOOKING
If you like logic puzzles, physics puzzles, geometry or optics, this is twelve different kinds of that. Some of these are spatial. Others are deduction with no words in them at all. Kanixa and Spectile sit closer to perception itself, where the answer is already in front of you and the whole job is seeing it.
FREE TO PLAY, WITH ONE OPTIONAL PURCHASE
All twelve games are free from the first launch, campaigns included, and levels open as you play them, never against a payment. Hints are the one thing you spend on: each costs 10 Quanta, and you earn Quanta by clearing levels and by solving the daily puzzle. Quarko Complete is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, and it changes two things: hints stop costing anything, and Today's Observation pays double. Nothing else changes, and no game or level depends on it.
MADE TO BE LOOKED AT FOR A LONG TIME
The whole app is one dark gallery, built for long sessions and dim rooms. Text follows the size you set on your phone. In Terra every color also carries its own texture, so the map can be solved without telling the colors apart. Spectile is the one game that does need color vision, because seeing the difference is the puzzle.
NOT A BRAIN TRAINING APP
There is no score to compare against strangers and no IQ estimate at the end. The daily puzzle and its streak are there if you want them, and the twelve campaigns do not care whether you played today. Quarko is a puzzle collection: twelve small worlds with rules worth learning, and one honest click when a shape finally lines up.
Quarko is playable in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Brazilian Portuguese.
