Why VPN Share ?
Android does not share a VPN connection over tethering the way it shares a normal one. Even when the host device is on a VPN, tethered devices get the plain connection. VPN Share fixes that by routing them through a local proxy that sits on the VPN.

VPN Apps Warning
Some VPN apps may stop VPN Share from sharing their connection. This is a limitation of those VPN apps, not a fault in VPN Share.
If that happens, and a connected device gets no internet while your VPN is on, see if that vpn app has "Allow local network" (also called "Allow LAN") option, or use a VPN that allows it.

Privacy
VPN Share does not collect or upload your traffic. The proxy runs on your device. Its status view is held in memory only while the proxy is running and is cleared when you stop it. Nothing is written to storage, and nothing is sent to us.

How It Works ?
VPN Share runs a local proxy server that listens for incoming requests and sends them out over the active VPN connection instead of the normal one. Connected devices get the same routing as the host device.

Ratings and reviews

The fact this was made without requiring root privileges is amazing. It works well if you follow the instructions. Which is kinda tedious and you need to set it up for each network you go on. But it works. I really hate the fact that this app is needed. Any other IoT device routes things internally...but not phones? What's the point of having a hotspot if I can't secure it?

after updating ,it can no longer open wifi direct pliz help on that

This app is running normally at the beginning, but after a few days, it always shows VPN client IP, not from the phone or wifi router, so I have to reinstall or clear the data and then re-run this app. But overall, I love this simple app, I have no problem with an ads, still fair.
