The maximum Annual Percentage Rate (APR) applicable to finance products offered through the Tamweel App is 7.35% (reducing rate), in accordance with Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations. This rate is subject to change from time to time based on QCB directives. Finance are offered for a minimum period of 12 months, with repayment periods extending up to 84 months for Qatari nationals and up to 48 months for expatriates. The final applicable APR, repayment schedule, and any associated fees or charges are clearly disclosed to customers prior to approval and acceptance of any finance facility.
For transparency, here is a representative example for illustration purposes only: if a Qatari customer requests a finance amount of QAR 100,000 with a repayment term of 48 months, the total repayment amount would be approximately QAR 115,387, resulting in a monthly installment of about QAR 2,404. Actual terms may vary depending on the customer’s profile, eligibility, and prevailing QCB regulations.
The Tamweel App enables users to apply digitally for personal, vehicle, and home finance facilities, track the status of submitted applications, and view details of approved finance facilities, including installment amounts, payment schedules, and transaction history. Customers can make payments and manage their finance accounts without the need to visit a branch.
In addition to finance management, the app allows users to submit service requests, track their progress, and receive notifications when actions are completed, ensuring timely support and improved customer convenience throughout the finance lifecycle.
